Friday Evening Banquet

5:00 PM Social Hour begins at the Kilgour Scottish Centre

  • Special Banquet Dinner, with the traditional Address to the Haggis, followed by some amazing Scottish culinary delights.  
  • Greetings from Scotland: Rory Hedderly, Second Secretary for Scottish Affairs in the US
  • Keynote Speaker: The Right Honorable Viscount Dunrossil
  • CrossBow!, a very special local Celtic band

Saturday Morning Program

8:00 AM Doors Open, Continental Breakfast

  • Update from Scotland: Rory Hedderly
  • Professor Marjory Harper, Professor of History at the University of Aberdeen and Visiting Professor and Senior Researcher at the UHI Centre for History
  • Dr. Bruce Durie, Scottish genealogist, broadcaster and author
  • Professor Donna Heddle, Director of the UHI Millennium Institute’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Nordic Studies based in Kirkwall and Scalloway

Saturday Luncheon Speaker

Mid-day Saturday, along with our meal, we'll host a Video Conference with a very special speaker: The Rev. Canon Dr. Joseph John Morrow, CBE KStJ QC, Lord Lyon King of Arms
